I think this is simply possible because I know now, in the year 2009 that my cellphone is my lifeline and if it is anything like that in the future I will definitely be needing it more and more as I get older.
Transportation will hopefully be split up on the environment with electric cars or cars that run on something renew subject and natural like water. There will be more buses, and sky trains that will literally take you crossways the country.
I think that at some point sooner 2053 gas will no longer exist as people will no longer be able to afford it. Someone will have to come up with something else to keep society going.
