2. Yolandas success can be explained through positive reinforcement. Since swan school, she received positive reinforcement in the form of vocal praise. She received it from both her teachers and her parents, therefore encouraging her to keep doing well up in school.
3. When Yolanda was care a large university, she was lost in the population and became a number instead of Yolanda, the excelling student. Although she did well at first, she did not receive the recognition that she was used to. Her behavior consequently went through extinction. Since she no longer received positive reinforcement, she was little motivated to do well and started doing poorly, leading to her dropping come out of school.
4. Yolanda decided to go back to college because of culture engineering. Yolanda felt low when she told old friends from high school that she was no longer attending college because the culture that she was raised in expected her to move on in college.
Yolanda also felt that she disappointed her parents because they raised her in a culture that made her feel she needed to espouse in college to defy past discrimination.
5. Since Yolanda attended a small school closer to home, it was more familiar to the environment of rate school and high school. At this college, she began receiving positive reinforcement again, be regarded as a rising star in the psychological science department. This could be considered spontaneous recovery.
