In his biography, Ben sets up an experiment where he aspires to be morally perfect. He name calling and describes his thirteen impartialitys that he will work on in order to become the perfect person he wants to be. His intend states he states that he must perfect one virtue before moving on to the next, making him a precise humble man. I decided to work on a few virtues. The virtues I feel I need nigh improve on are silence and tranquility.
My first virtue I would like to improve on is tranquility. Tranquility, in Bens words, is, To not be disturbed of trifles, or at accidents commonplace or unavoidable. This means for not to become angry for what happens in life. Many times, I energize caught myself becoming frustrated at unavoidable circumstances sometimes. I caught myself blaming something or someone else, just making a promise to God it has changed dramatically.
The words of Benjamin Franklin, Silence is to speak not unless what may pull in other or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
In todays terms, this means to only speak when spoken to. Do not bring someone down with your words. I have chosen to work on this virtue because there are times when I regret and become angry on what I said. Many times, I look back regretting the things I have said or done.
I have attempt to work on the two virtues of tranquility and silence. I started proterozoic in the week on working on the courses. I knew I would not succeed doing so, but I direct better trying. I commonly get in arguments with my sister, but they ended fairly quickly. I also did not fiddle into any obstacles so therefore my tranquility was not time-tested too much.
