Nimrud

I redeem been exploring how to analyze the art beca purpose I have never written about the art. I thought it would be a challenge for me , but when I saw Nimrud, I felt very lucky. The city of Nimrud is very close to my country, and I could guess about their history of art. I observe deuce kings and deuce winged protective. It looks like a gesture of venerate to a God. I can certainly say that If we trust in God, he will protect us such as that winged protective. We can still find comforter in Gods protection.
There argon iv great people numerals and a sacred tree figure in this art. It does not look like a Muslim art because Islamic people dont use people figures in their art. They all look like praying together. And the 2 protective men look like the Gods angels. They may be the supernatural figures. So there are natural and supernatural characters on this relief. They all dress in ritual robe. They have curled moustache, colossal hair and long beard. The artist stylize the sacred tree between the deuce kings. The tree has leaves, flowers, and branches. The figure of the kings have arms, hands, legs and feet. The supernatural figures have as well as arms, hands, legs and feet. They have large eyes, and small mouths. We can also see some muscles. Each protective holds a little notecase on their left hand.



It is unclear what they carry in it. Kings are standing on either side of sacred tree. It shown from two sides. It symbolized the kings authority. This carved relief looks like for religious reasons. It might be a wall relief. All figures are highly stylized and artificial. The small symbol at the top replace the God. The Kings are servant to the God. It is carved in such details. This relief is a complex one because art serves so many functions in spite of appearance the spiritual as well as the physical condition of life. It can be expressed and experienced by the senses. So like life, it forces you to think, feel and change, by virtue of its existence.
