Abbie Shafer SOC 204 05/12/2011 Assignment 2 The Three Doctors, Dr. Sampson Davis, Dr. George Jenkins, and Dr. Rameck Hunt, all grew up together in Newark, New Jersey in a real rundown neighbourhood low family neighborhood. Their families were on public assistance and couldnt usually afford much. This never stopped the Doctors as young boys to keep their dreams alive and to strive to always be something better and do something better with their lives. They all actually skipped class one day and ended up in a seminar in their school auditorium that introduced them to a new idea and gave them the penury and strive to all become doctors someday. Socialization is a keep process where an individual gets a personal identity and learns the norms, values, behavior, and companionable skills appropriate to his or her social position. With the three doctors they kind of overcame the characteristic socialization patterns of where they grew up. They didnt prejudge themselves and make themselves believe that fair because of where they grew up that determined the kind of person they would become.
